Mrs Janet Evans trained in Cardiff and was involved in the development of IVF in Wales in 1987 – bringing the training that she had received in Australia. She became a consultant in obstetrics and gynaecology in Cardiff with a special interest in infertility in 1991, and was invited to take over the IVF unit as Person Responsible to the HFEA and Director in 2003. She has a special interest in treatments for women with poor ovarian reserve and is actively engaged in research in this area. She leads a dedicated team who are all anxious to ensure that the possible treatment is available here in Cardiff.
